Happy New Year!! I Am So Thankful!!

Perfection isn't required for Satisfaction

I find that in many ways, most ways really, I am a satisfied earthling these days. Everything is not perfect and it does not have to be that way. Life is a bumpy road but if the highs outweigh the lows or if the lows are small and the highs are large; things seem to work out.

On this last day of 2010, take a few minutes to take inventory of your life, First and Second Lives. If you are like me, Second Life has bleed into your First Life. And that is OK!!

My SL Thankies for 2010

My SL partner Thinkie, brings nothing but joy into my life. Thirty Three months together and it is still like that very first day I saw her dancing at Fey's Fantasies. That thought still brings a smile to me.

The Red River Girls,,Furo, Cally, Sienna, Sharon, Amanda, Agnes and Juri who support me even when I go a little nuts.

The Cure Chasers Relay For Life Team,,Who raised over 1,000,000L's in 2010. And who helped give me  a purpose to my SL existence.

For the friendship of Jeffrey Pastorelli and Charli Pelous,,one who we have lost and one who is fighting hard to stay with us.

The growing success of the Red River Venues, The Bowl, Saloon and Ballroom and the fun they have brought to so many this year.

For DJ Annie Lane,,who has turned Friday nights into a Red River institution,,bringing a group of people from all over the world together every week and making us laugh, sing and dance.

I am thankful for the long list of performers that have graced our stages in 2010. They have entertained, gave us great fun and made me look good even when I did not really know what I was doing.

For all the new friends I have made over the past year. For all the old friends that have stayed with me. And for the memories that they have graced me with,,especially Elle and Annna.

Happy New Year Second Life!!

Happiness Is Where You Find It!!

Quote of the day(another male profile find):

"happiness makes up in height for what it lacks in length"
-Robert Frost

This quote, from the wonderful Robert Frost, is perfect for the phenomenon of Second Life relationships. So many people come to SL looking for an escape from First Life. I did!!

They meet someone, are happy for a time, see other possibilities and go off in another directions to a new happiness. For a time their happiness spikes in a vertical direction of short duration. While this would be a disastrous course for First Life; it is certainly a normal course for SL and very acceptable.

Of course there are exceptions to this rule. Many Second Life relationships last years. My SL partner and I have been together nearly three years. The person, whose profile this quote was discovered in, is in his fourth year of a relationship.

Another SL profile quote fits in here perfectly I think;

Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Dance often, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably And never regret anything that made you smile

Very true for Second Life.

My favorite Robert Frost poem:

Acquainted With The Night

I have been one acquainted with the night.
I have walked out in rain - and back in rain.
I have outwalked the furthest city light.
I have looked down the saddest city lane.
I have passed by the watchman on his beat
And dropped my eyes, unwilling to explain.
But not to call me back or say good-bye;
And further still at an unearthly height,
One luminary clock against the sky

Proclaimed the time was neither wrong nor right.
I have been one acquainted with the night.

Odd Things I Found Yesterday!!

I was perving around SL yesterday and came across some fun stuff in a males profile. Usually all the good stuff is found in women's profiles. So I jumped on this right away.

~I didn't slap you I just highfived your face~

I have always wondered if there a way to slap someone and claim it was an accident. Well here it is, lol. How easily this could be accomplished. Especially when it was a male of our species  that was slapped. Throw in a nice smile and a few flicks of your eye lashes and BAM,,job well done.

Flying requires you throwing yourself at the ground and missing Things

I have often seen people falling from the sky and missing everything,,well except the ground. Truth be told, I have done it many times myself. On purpose as a joke and well by accident as a NOOB. SL affords you the opportunity to jump off tall buildings and live to talk about it. Sky diving without a parachute is kind of fun too.

Ok!! You all know I have some point I am trying to make. Hey!! That's why I get the big bucks right,,lol.

The point is that many things are not what they seem. Especially in Second Life. High Fives that end in slaps, falling long distances and walking away, Building things out of virtual thin air, men who are women or the other was round and Avatars that are fronts for humans to hide behind are all examples of things that may not be what they seem.

HMMM!! Cally see yesterdays blog. This all sound familiar, lol.

Life is not to be taken at face value. Look behind the event or person and decide what is real of fake.

I know I promised you something lighter today.

A conversation between my friend Annie Lane and myself last night. We were talking about New Years Eve.

Annie Lane: we've been invited by Viz and his partner, but i've been in a funk and don't know if i feel like going out
Night Nicholls: go out and socialize
Night Nicholls: get drunk
Night Nicholls: have wild sex
Night Nicholls: and bang in the new year right

Annie Lane: yeah.... ya lost me at go out and socialize
Annie Lane: i can't get my new equipment to work right.  will have to pick Viz's brain tomorrow
Night Nicholls: wash it well and let it air dry,,then use a body spray
Annie Lane just rolls her eyes and kisses your nose

Yeppers things are never what they seem.

Buddha!! I Just Love Him!!

I found the following in a profile recently. It is something that I have read before and I believe that it should ring true for all of us.

Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.
-Buddha-

With the recent passing of Christmas; I believe that a quote from Buddha is politically correct. Not that I have ever been politically correct, lol.

The quotation, to me, shows the ONENESS of the human spirit. Each person is a singular being; developing his or hers own belief system. Taking what they feel is the best part of one belief system and testing it against ones own beliefs to see if it can be added or deleted from your own individual thoughts.

We are individuals first; before we join any group. Where humans seem to get in trouble is when they latch onto a belief system that is corrupt or even evil. The rise of Hitler, the reign of Caligula, the infiltration of the Ku Klux Klan  in USA Southern society or even blindly following the teachings of a self proclaimed prophet are examples of corrupted belief systems sifting into peoples lives and leading to mass hysteria. That is especially the case with Hitler.

Grasp what is good in people and hold onto it. Discard any thoughts of beliefs that will not enhance your individual life. Question everything, test everything, understand everything and believe what is truth and good because that is what improves your life.

Whew!! I know 'Don't give Night a heavy subject to rant about'.

This is for my friend Cally; the smartest girl I know. Because she will understand my ramblings.

Something lighter tomorrow. I promise, lol.

I Was Sitting On A Bench One Day!!

I have a place in Second Life that I go to when I feel a little down or need to think. Sometimes I go there to remember. It is named Colette's Deepness in the Sky. It is a small park in the Tecta Sim. I have always found it relaxing. Drop by some time if you need some alone time.

http://slurl.com/secondlife/Tecta/107/93/22

I was having a very bad time in both Real Life and Second Life, all at the same time. I was ready to give up on SL and just disappear.

One day I was sitting on a bench at Colette's and thinking. A girl teleported into the park and was wandering around. When she came past me we started to talk. She sat down and we talked for almost 2 hours. Her name was Leny,,she was from Germany. We are still friends some 2 years later even though we see little of each other.

Our conversation was about relationships; both real and virtual. Leny was in an SL relationship and was happy.  It is funny how two women, thousands of miles apart and separated by different languages, could have so much to say to each other. When we parted I felt renewed. It seemed that I knew where I wanted to go but I just needed someone to help me read the map. Leny was my navigator.

The point I am trying to make here is that each day, in Second Life, we are presented with the opportunity to meet new people, make new friends and learn so much. Never just blow someone off out of hand. A little conversation may produce useful fruit.

My friends in SL run the gamut of every kind of person one can possibly meet. My partner is as different from me as anyone can get. But their value to the quality of my SL life spills out into my RL everyday.

Thank you to all the Leny's out there that take the time to sit for awhile on a park bench and talk.

Snow In The Carolinas~~~Or How White Christmas Is A Day Late!!

I choose today's Profile Perve saying a couple of days ago and committed to commenting on it today. But as fate or Divine intervention would have it; I was handed a situation today that illustrates the point very well.

We are not surrounded by idiots. We are in a target rich environment
- source unknown -

And the gift that fate handed me today is:

SNOW IN THE CAROLINA'S!!

In this situation; the idiots of who I speak are Carolinians who see snow and say "OOOOO Lets go driving!!"

I ventured over the causeway this morning to go eat pancakes and sausage at one of those all you can eat church breakfasts. Now anyone who knows me cane attest to the fact that I can not pass up a pancake in any form. And if you throw in some good old Southern sausage and make it all you can eat,,,I AM THERE!!

I sat down near a window, that looked out over a four lane road. Not a major highway but one of those business roads that always seem busy. When I sat down, with my plate over flowing with Gods gift to the Southern pallet, I did not realize that my free breakfast came with a floor show.

What I witnessed was a mixture of NASCAR, Ice Capades and Miss Daisy driving herself. No less than nine, that's 9, negen, nueve, nove, neun, neuf,,,cars skid into a ditch and got stuck in the snow.  Now you say,,'Well it was snowing and it might have been slippery",,and I would agree with you.

But this was a situation of monkey see monkey do. The first car was going to fast for the conditions and slid into the ditch. Cars 2 - 9, looked at that car,,increased their speed(because as we all know increasing your speed will get you over the ice quicker) and proceeded to spin around and each in turn slid into the ditch.

I can just imagine the look on these drivers faces as the world started to spin and all the could think of was WTF.

Now go back up and reread the Profile Perve for today. God must love me to load up my guns with all this ammunition, lol.

See you around the grid,,

No matter how you say Merry Christmas; this is a day to rest, reflect, enjoy your family no matter what form that takes and reconnect with your own soul. It is a day to show love, mercy, forgiveness, joy and trust in your fellow Earthlings.

It is my day to tell you that if I have offended you in any way please forgive me, If you have offended me in any way I forgive you, If I have loved you then I love you more today. In Second Life I have the opportunity to reach across the world and find trust in my fellow Earthlings.

I am not a Christian but I love this holiday. I love all religious holidays because through them we are presented the opportunity to learn about other people. Knowledge of each others customs and beliefs is our way forward.

FELLOW EARTHLINGS GRAB THIS OPPORTUNITY WITH BOTH HANDS AND HOLD TIGHT!!

Christmas At Our House!!

Christmas is a joyful time of year. I am sure it is for most people and for many different reasons. I always find the need to reflect on Christmas past because it is our memories, that keep those that can not be with us, alive on this day.

Christmas at our house was a regimented affair with traditions pulled from Italian, Irish and Ukrainian cultures. Regimented because we were a military family.

We would get out of bed to the smell of coffee for Mom and Dad and hot chocolate for the kids. Sitting at the kitchen table drinking hot chocolate was torture; with the tree, just yards away, surrounded by boxes, bags and stockings.

After a little while, with three children fidgeting around and about to burst, we were sent into the living room to wait for Dad to come and open gifts. Our stockings were what kept us occupied,,,filled with all sorts of goodies.

Dad would change into his 'Gay Apparel', lol. a pair of red and green plaid pants that only came out on Christmas morning. He always had a Mimosa(champagne and orange juice). It is tradition that the youngest child pass out the gifts. Once each of us were surrounded by shiny and brightly colored wrapped gifts; we were allowed to open them.

It was such a fun time. Like a Norman Rockwell painting. All the pain and despair of the years events just melt away.

Well Mom and Dad are gone now but the traditions did not stop with there passing. We still gather at the kitchen table for coffee before going to the tree. We still look in our stockings first. Then the one thing that always brings a tear to our eyes happens. Those pants!! The Gay Apparel!! Walk into the room!! The same pants Dad wore! But now worn by my brother. Yes a tear is always passed between the three of us when he comes in; carrying a Mimosa.

This one act brings all our memories and all our family, no matter where they are, into the room with us. Yes a tear passes between us but a smile travels with it. The youngest still passes out the gifts and we still act like kids when opening them.

Memories are your life line to all you have loved. Never hide them. Make them a part of the day. Share Christmas with every relative and friend you have; whether there with you, or off in another country or in a better place.

Merry Christmas to all my friends in Second Life. Especially my Red River Family. Especially Especially Especially to my Thinkie who makes me smile everyday.

When that 'Gay Apparel' comes in the room tomorrow;;my memories of all of you will mingle with those of  my family.

Love you all!!
Merry Christmas

Christmas!! Charging Us Like A Wild Bull!!

Yes kiddies Christmas is only two days away.  The holiday of joy!! The Christmas Spirit!! The pseudo Birthday of Jesus Christ!!  Santa Clause!! Gift buying!! Traffic!! Crowds!! Over eating!! Over indulging in everything!!

OHHHH!! The Love For Our Fellow Man, or Woman, or Furrie or Whatever

And that brings me to today's profile gem. Discovered while perving just a day ago.

"Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those I had to kill because they pissed me off."

So this morning, with this statement in mind, I ventured out to do a little last minute shopping. AT 6AM!! Because I was assured, by all those newspaper advertisements, that what I wanted to buy would be waiting at the door of the store for me ready to jump into my cart.

WELL 2 HOURS LATER AND A LOT OF PATIENCE WASTED,,I arrived home with little to show for my effort except a disdain for EARLY MORNING SHOPPERS.

Oh the joy of shopping online!! The happiness of some guy, in brown funky shorts, delivering my purchases after he had to drive through the crowds of EARLY MORNING SHOPPERS. Watching him crawl out of a packed truck, hair all askew, staggering to my door carrying those easily bought online gifts; is what Christmas is all about.

You can even have the gifts sent already wrapped in pretty Christmas paper. Oh Joy!! Oh Joy!!

Boxes opened, gifts tucked under the tree in just minutes; I can now return to my spiked eggnog and relax by the fire. Laughing at all those EARLY MORNING SHOPPERS, who will be wandering out on Christmas Eve looking for that very special gift. You know kiddies;;;the one that should have been purchased a month ago, that should have had a lot of thought put into its purchase OR the gift that was bought at the last minute, without thought, because OH MY GOD I NEED TO GET SOMETHING FOR AUNT HARRIET.

Whew!! Now that's off my chest, lol. I will return you to your normally calm Night.

Feliz Navidad, Yo'all!!

A Recipe For Cally!!

My friend Cally has been asking me for a pie recipe for some time now. I only bake around a holiday,,Christmas, Thanksgiving and maybe Easter.

In the South, sweet potato pie and pecan pie are traditions and in my house we always argued over which one was going to be on the table. My stepmother came up with a recipe that made us all happy. Actually I think she found it in a book some where but for teh sake of a good childhood memory I will credit her with its invention. It is actually easy to make.

Sweet Potato Pie with a Pecan Topping

Ingredients:
1 (9 inch) pie crust -- unbaked
***Sweet Potato Filling***
1 large egg
1 1/2 cup mashed, cooked fresh sweet potatoes(I bake these,,it brings out the sugars)
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons unsalted butter -- softened(The only better than butter is more butter)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

***Pecan Topping***
2 large eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup dark corn syrup
2 tablespoons unsalted butter -- melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
dash ground cinnamon
1 cup pecan halves
1/2 cup heavy cream -- whipped stiff
Make sweet potato filling: In med. bowl, with electric mixer, beat 1 egg until frothy. Add all the remaining filling ingredients; beat at med. speed until the mixture is smooth, about 2 min.

Make pecan topping: In med. bowl, with mixer, beat eggs until frothy. Add sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla and cinnamon. Beat at low speed just until mixture is well blended, about 1 min. Stir in pecans. Oven to 350 degrees.

To assemble: turn sweet potato filling into unbaked pie shell, spreading evenly. Pour pecan topping over top. Bake 60-70 min., until set and knife inserted in center comes out clean.

I decorate the top with whip cream after it cools and just before serving but you can also let people put on their own whip cream as they wish.

There you go Cally. Maybe a little fattening but IT's THE HOLIDAYS!!!

Miss Annie's Holiday Orgy with DJ Annie Lane

Today is the day!!

The night will open with Genevive Romanas, at 4pm SLT, entertaining us with a Christmas show. Gen is an up and coming singer in Second Life. What I really like about her, other than her wonderful voice, is that she is a 'What you see Is what you get' type of person. Genuine and no BS. You will love her.

At 5PM Miss Annie tales over. This will be Annie's first ever simulcast radio show streamed live into Second Life!  DJ Annie will be broadcasting her radio show live on Qnation.fm and at the same time it will be heard in Second Life at the Red River Saloon's Ballroom.  The show will feature some of the many talented artists from Second Life, the GLBT community, and general holiday songs.

Potpourri!!

THAT'S RIGHT I SAID IT!! I used a French word in the title. Will I go to hell now? Or worse, to lunch with a girl with hairy legs and armpits? I am rethinking  this whole thing. BRB!! I need to look outside to see if I was transported to Paris.

Tick,,Tick,,Tick,,Tick......

WHEW!! Nope I am still at home.  OK! Lets get started and no I am only drinking coffee.

DJ Annie Lane has several rules in her profile. I want to zero in on just one.

I'm not going to cyber you within 5 minutes of the first hello.  There are plenty of 'girls' who will do that for you.  Most of them get 5 o'clock shadow, too.

For those First Lifers that have not experienced a Second Life; Annie is talking about men who use female avatars. It is more common than you might think. Many reasons can be attached to this phenomenon. The need to see how the other half lives, believing they ARE a woman, trying to get female friends they can sleep with(probably reason #1 for new avatars), someone who is brow beaten by their wife or mother in RL, a small penis, low self esteem as a man,,and the list goes on.

The point here is that no matter how much women hate this situation; this is Second Life, and I believe that people should be whatever they want to be in Second Life. Just like in any other existence; this all sorts itself out with time.

I have come to love the diversity of beings in SL. When we work on Relay For Life; every form of being takes part. Men, Women, Furries, Nekos, Goths, Goreans, Vampires, Robots, Child Avatars, Cross Dressing Avatars and Animals of all sorts. These beings interact on a daily basis without problems. TAKE THAT REAL WORLD!!

A final word:

ღ The person that is worth your tears ...
is the one that will never make you cry! ღ

One Women's Prospective!! And It's Right On!!!

Men in Sl come in so many forms; macho, cross dressers, whimpy, the I AM ALL THAT GUYS and of course 'Wanna F$$K' Guys. I am sure there are many more forms. One day a guy is one thing and the next he can re-invent himself as something else. Like a really good looking femal avatar.

Now I am not saying that the women in SL do not have many forms too. OMG!! In many ways they are worse than the men.

Don't worry this is going some where, lol.

I was perving my friend Annie's Profile yesterday and found that it is a treasure trove of really good stuff. Because we are building up to Annie's Big Show, on Wednesday night, I thought that this was a very good time to introduce you to DJ Annie Lane.

Her profile contains the following evaluation of SL men:

I love the guys on SL.  They're almost all tall and muscular with hair that blows in the wind even on a still day...
But let's have a reality check.  It's easy to make an avatar pretty.  Stop being so full of yourselves.  Just because a female talks to you, doesn't mean she wants to ZOMG! have your prim babies.  Especially not me.  Especially not an hour after we've met.  A female can actually want to be your friend without pining for you, being jealous of other avatars with boobs, or thinking you are the soul mate that she's waited her whole life for.
Your avatar may be a knockout, but are YOU worth another conversation?

Yeppers!! That hits the old nail squarely on the head.

Stay tuned for more on DJ Annie's Holiday Orgy!!!

Friendship!!

This is my favorite profile acquisition. I have made many friends in SL. My Friends List is well over 100. Some are fleeting. Some are made for business reasons.  Some are the results of knowing other people, who know other people, who know other people; like of a sting to infinity this goes on forever. But most importantly some are long term.

The quotation that follows holds true for The Red River Girls; Furo, Cally Sienna, Sharon, Amanda, Agnes, Juri and especially for my Thinkie. Together we have forged a home in SL, run a fairly successful business and wander through Second Life happy as clams to be together. Sure we have our moments. What family doesn't. But for 3 years we have held it all together. Slowly increasing our family person by person until it reached today's form.

They form the foundation of The Red River Entertainment Group, Angels Church, Furo and Sharon run successful enterprises of their own and they all stand side by side against cancer working for Relay For Life as The Cure Chaser Team. You just have to love them and it is impossible not too.

                                                                  ~True Friendship~
True friendship isn't seen with the eyes, it is felt with the heart, when there is trust, understanding, loyalty, and sharing.
True friendship is a rare feeling, but when it is found it has profound impact on our well-being, strength, and character.
True friendship does not need elaborate gifts
or spectacular events in order to be valuable or valued. To ensure long-lasting quality and satisfaction, True friendship only needs a few key ingredients:
Undying loyalty, unmatched understanding, unsurpassed trust, deep and soulful secrets, and endless sharing.
These ingredients, mixed with personality and a sense of humor, can make a friendship last a lifetime!          ~Author Unknown~

Philosophical Saturday!!

I found this in a profile of a rather philosophical woman. It is amazing how many people feel the need to turn their profiles into something Plato would be proud to use as his own. She attributed the following to Mother Teresa.

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self centered; Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and true enemies; Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've got, anyway.

~Mother Teresa~

I like this a lot. Have read it over and over. If only we could live our lives that way. Starting with me!!

And a final thought for today:::

Some cause happiness wherever they go. Others, whenever they go.

Now how true is that, lol.

Food For Thought or How I Awakened You Mind Today!!

I had to give a lot of thought to this discovery. I believe that if you read over each point and then apply it to your own life; you will find that most, if not all, of these statements will ring true. They all did for me.  No title was attached. to this when I found it.  I have decided to call it:

Rules That Give Strength To Your Inner Self

1. There are at least two people in  this world
that you would die for.

2. At least 15 people in this world
love you in some way.

3.. The only reason anyone would ever  hate you
is because they want to be  just like you.

4. A smile from you  can bring happiness to anyone,
even if they don't  like you.

5.  Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you
before they go to sleep.

6. You mean the world to someone.
7. You are special and unique.

Don't you just hate when I make you think!!

Today On A Very Special Blossom!!

HAHAAH!  I have always wanted to say that. My age is showing, lol.

First off; I follow a blog named Gillian's Island. It is a wonderful blog about SL fashion. Gillian gives fashion tips, store locations and locations for quality  freebies. Each day she models an outfit she has acquired on her journeys through SL. Definitely worth following.

http://gilliangalicia.wordpress.com

On December 22nd, DJ Annie Lane will bring her live radio show to The Red River Ballroom. Annie is a weekly regular at Red River and one of her radio shows was nominated for a PodCast award this year. LOL!! I voted everyday and have my fingers crossed for her to win.

'Annie's Holiday Orgy with DJ Annie Lane' will be on from 5pm - 8pm SLT(for any of you non Second Lifers that is 5pm - 8pm Pacific time in the USA).

I will leave you with these Heard Around The Grid sayings:

" If you're talking behind my back, you're in a good position to kiss my ass!  ♥.   "

"You know what? Your penis is too small for your ego."

I love when SLers talk about anatomy, lol.

xxx represents a number of people. One person was not that stupid, lol. I have known HD for a couple of years. She is a witty and inteligent woman. I think she shows that here. I have much more to write about HD and her IM responses.

Words of Wisdom from a profile:

Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit; Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad. (Unknown Author)

Many Words of Wisdom, found in profiles, are quotes from notable people, I will give credit for quotes if I can find out who the author might be.

If any of you come across things that you feel are appropriate for this blog; send them along to me. You will get credit for yiur doscoveries.

My Profile Continued!!

The saga of my profile continues.  When I finally figured out that SL was much more than a game to see who could get whose clothes off quickest; I met my partner of nearly 33 months, Ithinkthisisa Cooljoke

I was given a gift of love when Thinkie came into my life. This poem appears in my profile:
.
If questioning would make us wise
No eyes would ever gaze in eyes;
If all our tale were told in speech
No mouths would wander each to each.
Were spirits free from mortal mesh
And love not bound in hearts of flesh
No aching breasts would yearn to meet
And find their ecstasy complete.
For who is there that lives and knows
The secret powers by which it grows?
Were knowledge all, what were our need
To thrill and faint and sweetly bleed?.
Then seek not, sweet, the "If" and "Why"
I love you now until I die.
For I must love because I live
And life in me is what you give.

I think that it says it all!!

Now that my profile is complete it is time to move onto YOURS, lol. See you all tomorrow.

To Be Fair From The Begining!!

So in all fairness; my profile will hit the chopping block first. This way no one can say I never look at myself while writing this blog. Plus, I will be the only one identified by name.

I was reading someones profile the other day, as we are all prone to do. She wrote:
"Don't be sad when it ends. Be happy it happened."

I understand those words today. I wake each morning with a memory that makes me smile. That smile makes SL a better place. For all of you who think this is a game, I feel sorry for you. This is not a game or a cartoon. There are real people behind these AV's. This is SL mimicking RL. So treat every AV with respect.  Thank You Elle

Elle was my first girlfriend in SL. We never partnered because I was a COMPLETE ASS while we were together. She was wonderful, warm, inteligent and a beautiful person in every way. I regretted how I treated her but I also never seemed mature enough to get it together and go back to her. In the end we went our separate ways in SL; each starting new lives.

I was sad for a long time until I read: "Don't be sad when it ends. Be happy it happened." It says it all does it not?

So now you know a little more about me and I am sure you will learn more as we go along.

It's to late to encrypt your profiles or erase stuff from them as I have about a years worth of material stored up.

I also promise that this will get more fun as it is impossible for me to be very serious for long lengths of time.

See you around the grid,
Night

Lets Be Honest~~We All Do It!!!

Profile Perving may be the sport in which every person  in Second Life participates. The reasons we all do it varies with each participate. Social interaction, business data , sim or AV security and just being a good old garden variety busy body are just a few reasons that come to mind.

I became a Profile Perver (HMMM! did I just invent a word) the second I learned that profiles existed and I continue to look at profiles to this day. A wealth of information is displayed in a profile. After 3 years of perving I can tell a lot about someone before a word is passed between us. Reading between the lines, of what someone writes in their profile, is an art form that many an AV has developed. Profiles are serious, funny, pathetic, informing, educational and a view into that person controlling the AV.

Over the past year or so I have been collecting things from peoples profiles. Decriptions people give about themselves, serious comments, funny comments from IM's, quotes from notable people and the rantings of AV joy and pain are just a few of the things that I have collected.

No one will be immune from my view and comments. Although, I will never use an AV's name so as to protect the innocent and not so innocent. My intentions here are to be educational, informative and funny.
If anyone would like to send in ideas or ,make suggestions you know how to find me in SL, lol. You can also find me hanging around The Red River Saloon, in the Lilith Sim.

LET THE PERVING BEGIN!!!
