Why Are All Dictators Male?~~Or Are They!!

With the fall of Moammar Gadhafi and so many other 'strong arm' leaders finding their way to the scrape heap; I decided to take a look at 'dictators' throughout history'. while researching I found information on 'Female Dictators'. I had no idea there had actually been women who would fit that description. There have always been 'strong female governmental' leaders but ones who fit the 'dictator' mold are few.

What I am finding is that the 'worst' women in history' were not actually the leaders of their countries but in some way linked to the leaders as wife or confident. For instance this sweet and loving woman from Hungry.

The Blood Countess, Erzabet(Elizabeth) Bathory of Hungary

Raymond T. McNally, who has written four books on the figure of Dracula in history, literature, and vampirism, in his fifth book, "Dracula was a Woman," presents insights into the fact that Stoker's Count Dracula was also strongly influenced by the legends of Elizabeth Bathory of Hungary. Spend a little time reading about the real Count Dracula; an animal indeed. I could not imagine how a woman could be his influence?

Elizabeth not only drank blood but was also reported to have bathed in the Blood of virgins to keep her youth. I guess that explains it, lol.

Elizabeth had some interesting influences in her life. Elizabeth's other interesting relatives included: An uncle supposedly "addicted to rituals and worship in honor of Satan, her aunt Klara was a well-known bi-sexual who enjoyed torturing servants, and Elizabeth's brother, Stephan, who was a drunkard and a lecher.

Elizabeths husband, Ferenc, was a warrior and so was not often around, leaving Elizabeth at Castle Sarvar managing the family seat, "especially the task of disciplining the servants. The countess carried her 'disciplining' to a point that would be considered sadism today". Beating the girl servants with a heavy club was the least of her "punishments," according to accounts. Often she would stick "pins into the upper and lower lips of the girls...into the girls' flesh and... under their fingernails". One particularly harsh "punishment" would be to drag girls out into the snow where she or her women servants poured cold water on them until they froze to death.

I see where Dracula got some of his ideas.

Other women that have ascended to a level of debauchery that would make Dracula smile are(note these are, fr the most part, not leaders of any sort):

Myra Hindley~Myra Hindley and Ian Brady were responsible for the “Moors murders” occurring in the Manchester area of Britain in the mid 1960’s.

Beverly Allitt~The “Angel of Death, Beverley Gail Allit, is one of Britain’s most well known serial killers. Working as a pediatric nurse, she is responsible for the murder of 4 children and the serious injury of 5 others in her care.

Belle Gunness~Belle Gunness was one of America’s most degenerate and productive female serial killers. Standing 6 ft (1.83 m) tall and weighing in at over 200 lbs (91 kg), she was an imposing and powerful woman of Norwegian descent. It is likely that she killed both her husbands and all of her children at different times, but it is certain that she murdered most of her suitors, boyfriends, and her two daughters, Myrtle and Lucy

Ilse Koch~'Die Hexe von Buchenwald' the Witch of Buchenwald, or 'Buchenwälder Schlampe' the Bitch of Buchenwald was the wife of Karl Koch, commandant of the concentration camps Buchenwald.  Drunk on the absolute power rendered by her husband, she reveled in torture and obscenity. Infamous for her souvenirs; tattoos taken from the murdered inmates, her reputation for debauchery was well earned.

One wonders what turns people into animals like these. There has to be a genetic component to their behavior.

Makes me want to hug my kids just a little tighter.

Love ya,
Randy
