Panic at the thought of doing a thing is a challenge to do it.
~~Henry S. Haskins
How do you tell someone that the fear they are experiencing is making things worse? There is an easy answer to that question. You do not tell them. You support them. You cry with them. And you pray for them. Some things are not placed in our hands to manipulate. In this case 'Fear is the driver and we are all on the bus for the entire route'.
“Each time we face our fear, we gain strength, courage, and confidence in the doing.”
~~UnknownDo you know why the person that said this is 'Unknown'? Because I do not really think that they believed what they were saying. My father told me that a soldier faces fear in every combat situation and that it is that fear that helps him stay alert and alive. That makes more sense to me.
"To fear is one thing. To let fear grab you by the tail and swing you around is another." ~~Katherine Paterson, Jacob Have I Loved
Having said fear, in this situation, is inevitable; letting it take over your life is the tragedy. Of course I am not the one actually facing the fear. I am sitting in the audience watching life's play unfold before me. So giving advice is a difficult thing to do. As in a play; the audience is helpless to assist the actors. And since the play was written by Karma and and Destiny; rewrites are not possible.
So what we do, what I do, is sit and watch what unfolds and react to it. Believe me when I say that I am not always able to be on top of things like I should be. My own fears weigh me down.
"Fear is just your feelings asking for a hug."~ ~Danielle Sanchez-Witzel and Michael Pennie, My Name is Earl
Zolang ik adem Ik zal niet toestaan dat mijn angsten om mijn liefde te vernietigen. Dat is mijn eed.
